Closure Notice

December 24, 2020

Dear Earthbound Families,

As you know, the Premier of Ontario has announced that a provincewide lockdown will be in effect starting December 26, 2020 until at least January 23, 2021. During this period, only essential businesses and services will continue to operate.

The original information that was released described that outdoor recreational amenities such as riding stables and skating rinks could remain open but operate with restrictions.

New guidance from The Ontario Equestrian Federation has provided clarification however that no indoor or outdoor sports or recreational classes are permitted at any indoor or outdoor sport or recreational facility.  Riding stables are permitted to open for horse’s boarders only, so that they may visit their animal, assist in its care and ride their horse where necessary for its health and welfare.

Therefore, based on the Ontario Equestrian Federation guidance, we will not be able to run our riding lesson programs for the duration of the lockdown in Ontario.  You will not be charged for lessons missed due to the closure.  Lessons will resume on Monday, January 25th, 2021.  We will extend our current winter session by 3 weeks, or by however many weeks that are impacted by lockdown.  You will not lose out on any lessons; they will simply be delayed.

As we head into Christmas and a New Year, let us all remember to do our part to reduce Covid-19.  We thank you for your continued support and wish you a safe and peaceful holiday season.  We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

With warmest regards,
Carol Norton
